2 Timothy 3:1-5 (HCSB)
3 But know this: Difficult times will come in the last days. 2 For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 unloving, irreconcilable, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, without love for what is good, 4 traitors, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 holding to the form of godliness but denying its power. Avoid these people!
Watch or read our news, or look at social media. Listen to our current leaders from many cities to Washington DC. Look at and listen to the speech from our University professors and students. Look at what’s starting to happen in the NFL and other sports with the disrespecting our flag and National Anthem. Listen to the activists screaming down anyone who doesn’t agree with them, and watch them burning down their own neighborhoods and the American flag, and tell me we aren’t living in the times described in 2 Timothy 3:1-5.
I cringe when I hear certain politicians saying God bless America when they have no clue who God is or anything about him. If there is any god they believe in or worship its Mother Earth aka the pagan god Gaia.
When I was growing up most people stated their loyalty as God, Family and Country. Now most people’s loyalty is to self, self, and self. Look at the above scripture and consider many of the youth and those on the progressive side, as well as, career politicians on both sides. They are lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, proud blasphemers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, slanders, without self-control, they are brutal, without love for what is good, they have become traitors, “look at our president”, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God.
God has been officially removed from this Country by our courts, politicians and many of the people. We have told God that we don’t need or want his ways. We want to kill our babies when they’re inconvenient, his marriage covenant is too old fashion and denies the rights of men and women who want to marry their own kind. Fortunately God made us a promised in Deuteronomy that can give us hope:
Deuteronomy 31:6
Be strong and courageous; don’t be terrified or afraid of them. For it is the Lord your God who goes with you; He will not leave you or forsake you.”
So I believe that God is with all those who don’t just call themselves by his name, but those who live as he commanded us to live. Lip service isn’t enough.
I believe we are currently in a tailspin toward the great tribulation. To me it seems we are at a point where one major disaster or false flag event could be just the catalyst that could bring the tribulation about. At the same time I realize God has a plan, and if he deems it to not happen for another 5, 10, 20 or more years that is just what will happen. So, no predictions on my part, just a lot of concern.
A lot of my concern in relation to end times comes from looking at the history of ancient Israel and Judah. I see our society is so like theirs were right before destruction came upon them and they were taken into captivity. God gives us free will, and enough rope to hang ourselves; unfortunately that’s what we seem to want to do.
We are coming to a point not only where are social society is breaking down, but if you look at any news outside of our corrupt media, you will see we are on the very of WW 3. Our media makes everything seem like it’s just “A Okay”! But, if you look online at alternative media and see what’s really happening in other countries and in our very own economy, you will see that we have all been fed mostly lies about most everything and are truly facing very difficult times. We are being dumbed down as a people and manipulated at every turn by our government and media. Our military has been decimated under this current administration, and the policies coming from the white house have emboldened our enemies and brought distrust and contempt from our allies. We seem to be heading toward a one world government as the Bible talks about with the 10 kings or rulers, and it seems just about everyone with influence is in on it.
I believe we are just in the beginning of the difficult times scripture warns us about, and I don’t really see us able to pull out of it. After 9/11 there was a huge spike in church attendance, but sadly it was very short lived. Most people only care about themselves anymore, so even if a major event happens people will not suddenly become lovers of God and others, but seek only to make things alright for themselves.
Our hope in these difficult times is in Christ only, so put your trust in him and not some man or woman. I read an article lately that I found very interesting stating that no matter who won this election, there would be chaos to follow, and I think they may just be right, “Read that here“. That’s not to say that God cannot use someone to do his will, even to slow the downward spiral for a while, but if it does slow down, it is will be because God wants it to.
God once used an unrighteous man named Nebuchadnezzar, which you can read about in the book of Daniel, to save his people after they had become so bad and so corrupt they could no longer govern themselves. He could do the same thing now, and I am hoping he will since we are coming to that point.
There is a great deception coming during these difficult times that is so bad God says if possible even the very elect would be deceived.
Matthew 24:23-25(HCSB)
23 “If anyone tells you then, ‘Look, here is the Messiah!’ or, ‘Over here!’ do not believe it! 24 False messiahs[a] and false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders to lead astray, if possible, even the elect. 25 Take note: I have told you in advance.
If you are not grounded in scripture, both old and new testaments, and regularly spending time with God, you will very easily be deceived. The only way for you to understand what’s happening is if you know what’s happened in the past. When things really start hitting the fan, we will see and experience things that we have never seen or experience before. We in America are so used to soft living and every convenience at our finger tips. Can you imagine if we lost our power grid for a couple weeks let alone for a few months? Groceries from our food stores would be empty within a day or two. No money being put on the EBT cards, no food, no water, no medicine, hygiene products, etc. being delivered for the foreseeable future. I realize it’s not a fun thing to think about, but we need to face the facts, this country and this whole world is in deep trouble, and it’s only going to get more difficult.
The time for smooth words are over, even though that is what most of us want. We want the positive messages that tell us how if we’re close to God no trouble will overcome us. God tells us just that in the book of Isaiah.
Isaiah 30:10 (HCSB)
10 They say to the seers, “Do not see,”
and to the prophets,
“Do not prophesy the truth to us.
Tell us flattering things.
Prophesy illusions.
If you call yourself a Christian, but are not living the life, you will end up like the five foolish virgins who didn’t bring enough oil while waiting for the bride groom. They were not allowed into the wedding supper because while those who were prepared went in and began, they were out trying to buy oil. They were not ready! Are you?
